Hossein Marashi ( حسین مرعشی; born 17 November 1958 in Rafsanjan) is an Iranian politician who was the Iranian Vice President for Cultural Heritage and Tourism. Prior to that, Marashi represented Kerman in the Iranian parliament. Big companies like Mahan Air or Kerman Khodro belong to This charity. As the head of Cultural Heritage Organization of Iran, Marashi increased the budget of the organization. But at the same time, some of Marashi's opposers believe that the disappearance of some invaluable historical pieces and destruction of some historical building happened during his responsibility, and they claim that despite public pressure, he never took any action to stop the trend. Marashi supported the construction of Sivand Dam in the territory of Pasargad.
